Yes, we have two camping cots and a high chair available on request.
Yes, there are wonderful open spaces for children to run free but younger children need to be supervised at all times. There are unfenced dams and swimming pools and the wood-fired hot tubs present the risk of drowning and burns to small children. Kids must wear shoes when walking in the Fynbos (highly advisable for adults too). Hemel en Aarde Cottages will not take any responsibility for any accidents that occur through a lack of parental supervision.
Yes there is. Adult guests are welcome to take a quick dip to cool off if necessary, for safety reasons the pool is not available for lounging around or socialising at.
There are 3 hot tubs, two that guests can sit in that heat up really quickly at Strelitzia and Olive. The one at Gatehouse is much deeper where one can stand chin deep, but it does take longer to heat.
It is preferable to bring your own wood – particularly to braai with. We do sell grain bags of Blue Gum (mainly) at R60 per bag.
Strelitzia has an outside built-in undercover braai facility.
Olive has a movable braai on the the lawn.
Gatehouse has a built-in outside braai not under cover.
The cottages all have TV screens but there is NO DSTV. We do have one spare HDMI cable, but if you have your own please bring it with to connect any devices to the screens. Strelitzia also has a DVD player – bring kids DVD’s if you need to.
Yes. Our water comes from our borehole and is pristine.
Yes, if you want to go to the beach, we have outside towels for the hot tubs but they mustn’t be removed from the property.
We have a laundry where guests can use the washing machines to do a load if necessary.
Strelitzia and Gatehouse each have 56cm dishwashers. There is no dishwasher at Olive.
Yes. We live in the country with all of the above.
No, at this stage there are no credit card facilities. Payment needs to be effected via EFT prior to arrival or cash on arrival.
